Legacy of the Varkari Tradition

A world-famous and unique instance of an animal reciting the Vedas is witnessed in the life of Shri Sant Dnyaneshwar. The village of Aale in Junnar Taluka is home to the Samadhi of that very bull (Reda). Seeing the development that has taken place around this holy site brings great satisfaction. Whenever you travel from Pune to Nashik or from Ahmednagar to Kalyan, you can alight at Aalephata and visit this sacred Reda Samadhi, located just 4 km away in Aale.
